In a Better World at the Bytowne
All icscis friends living in the Ottawa region are welcome to join our next icscis night on Thursday May 12 at the Bytowne Cinema (325 Rideau St) to watch In a Better World (scheduled for 7:05 p.m.). The film by Danish Susanne Bier was the winner of the 2010 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and of the 2011 Golden Globe Award for the same category. Originally titled Hævnen (revenge), the film explores ways of dealing with the injustice and suffering of the world and raises questions about the legitimacy of retaliation and the scope of morality in both the worlds of adults and children.
Let’s meet inside the theatre. We are planning to arrive around 6:45 p.m. and we will be sitting as usual between rows 6 and 13. After the movie, we will have a drink or a bite nearby.
