icscis/walkthearts Studio Italia alumni show raised 2,955$CAD for Colombian charity

We are very happy to announce that Kangaroos, Beavers and Gorgonzola, our Studio Italia alumni show, raised 2,955$ CAD for Fundación Germen de Paz in Barranquilla, Colombia!

During our last March –April show at La Nouvelle Scène in Ottawa, we sold 30 paintings out of 42 available!  Moreover, the first 19 works were sold within a few hours during the beautiful vernissage attended by around 400 people.  All this thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our 42 artists from Canada, Australia and Italy, to all icscis friends and volunteers, and to the many art collectors who supported our cause.

The donation will go to the charity’s Plan Padrino (Sponsor Program) and will help to provide food, education, and psychological assistance for children displaced by violence and living below poverty line in Barranquilla. In a few days we will be heading to Florence for our summer session of Studio Italia: ten days of painting, art history, art theory and discussions around gastronomic meals in a beautiful spot in the heart of Tuscany! We hope that our new participants will have a great art experience and will be part of our next alumni show!

  1. I have my painting of Tuscany hanging in my kitchen – and am very happy to have contributed for such a wonderful fundraiser.

Tuscany bound myself tomorrow – and Yes will be part of the next alumni show with pleasure.

Great moments await – See you all soon.
